After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Igor Lima made a kick off. In the 54th minute Igor Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th match minute, Erval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Furtado to maneuver through the defense. Dráuzio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Igor Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Ivo Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the game, João Adolfo de Mendonça was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Erval's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC CORINTHIANS PAULISTA the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Erval:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC CORINTHIANS PAULISTA:s goal. The referee gave SC CORINTHIANS PAULISTA a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dráuzio Costa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Erval's Ivo Reis. 1-2. Igor Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivo Reis having to interfere. Nicolas Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Igor Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ivo Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Erval's zone, Gilson Marquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivo Reis came out of the goal and Gilson Marquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gilson Marquez was extremely unlucky when he, in the 79th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 84th minute, Igor Lima reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ivo Reis. The goal made the score 1-3. After 87 played minutes Gilson Marquez rounded Erval's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. In the 90th minute, Igor Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gilson Marquez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Ivo Reis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gilson Marquez struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Ivo Reis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC CORINTHIANS PAULISTA. SC CORINTHIANS PAULISTA played a much better game than Erval and deserved their victory. The Erval players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
