Conventos SC's Percival Carioca got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Percival Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arí Gaúcho in the 13th minute of the match. Ibera F.C.'s Erasmo Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Ibera F.C. from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute, Arí Gaúcho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ibera F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Percival Carioca's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Erasmo Monteiro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Erasmo Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Percival Carioca, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Waldir Messias took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustavo Machado. Gustavo Machado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Gustavo Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arí Gaúcho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Paulo Renato Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Ibera F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Renato Cruz couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the match, Waldir Messias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustavo Machado. Conventos SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Waldir Messias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Gustavo Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arí Gaúcho in the 81st minute of play. Emerson Peres hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match.
