Dráusio Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafinha Leite, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Robinho Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio Carneiro having to interfere. Silvinho Pinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Geovani Lopes having to make a save. After the first half Mosquitinho EC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvinho Pinho in the 51st minute of play forced Mosquitinho EC's goalkeeper Geovani Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Idaiolanda! Luisão Furlan placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Silvinho Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Geovani Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Anselmo Gaspar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geovani Lopes was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dráusio Carneiro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Idaiolanda getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Diego Vianna hit a great ball. After 91 played minutes Idaiolanda got a freekick which was hit by Diego Vianna. In the 96th match minute, Idaiolanda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernani Cruz to maneuver through the defense. The Idaiolanda supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mosquitinho EC's performance. The match ended with a win for Mosquitinho EC.
