After having played for 6 minutes, Chicão Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cajamar AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chicão Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernandinho Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Cajamar AD's Anísio Reis threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fernandinho Nogueira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Chicão Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anísio Reis having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Fernandinho Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cajamar AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandinho Nogueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Anaurilandia's goal looked a bit too open when Fernandinho Nogueira came free, but Anísio Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chicão Souzas short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Anísio Reis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alfredinho Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remo Pitta, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute, Wilson Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 played minutes Cajamar AD got a freekick which was hit by Iuri Loureiro. In the 40th minute of the match Cajamar AD got a corner. Anaurilandia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alexsandro Peixoto ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Cajamar AD's Alexsandro Peixoto to fire away a dangerous shot which Anísio Reis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Chicão Souza might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anísio Reis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chicão Souza ran back to his position shaking his head. Chicão Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernandinho Nogueira was the one to do the kick off. Anaurilandia's Anísio Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chicão Souza in the 52nd minute of play. Chicão Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Anaurilandia's goal looked a bit too open when Chicão Souza came free, but Anísio Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Fernandinho Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cajamar AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernandinho Nogueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anísio Reis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anísio Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chicão Souza in the 66th minute of play. If Chicão Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Fernandinho Nogueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Nogueira in the 72nd minute of play forced Anaurilandia's goalkeeper Anísio Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cajamar AD's Chicão Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Cajamar AD fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Cajamar AD's Fernandinho Nogueira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fernandinho Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Anísio Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Chicão Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Anaurilandia's goalkeeper Anísio Reis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marquinhos Brasil's late challenge caught a Cajamar AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marquinhos Brasil helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Anaurilandia getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Marquinhos Brasil hit a great ball. There was no doubt that Cajamar AD were the better team. Cajamar AD's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
