Monera's Alberto Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuri Viana in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Nascimento FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabinho Matos came free, but Gilberto Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yuri Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Nascimento having to interfere. Reginaldo Siqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Yuri Viana struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Alberto Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nascimento FC. Gilmar Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Nascimento having to interfere. A collision led to Nascimento FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Agnaldo Mota hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Monera's Clemente Vieira broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 42nd minute Yuri Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes in the game, Yuri Viana fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alberto Nascimento having to interfere.

Gilmar Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Nascimento having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Edinho Penha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gilmar Quadros struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Alberto Nascimento was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gilberto Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabinho Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After a rather tough play, Monera's Mateus Silveira got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Nascimento FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
