Marcos Gabon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adalmo Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edinho Loureiro struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Léo Severo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibirubá-RS. Tiago do Nascimento hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Edinho Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos Gabon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adalmo Baptista in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Doriva Mendonça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Gabon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The supporters of Ruizubo booed when Ibirubá-RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elder Mumbach didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Ibirubá-RS getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Dorian Fontes hit a great ball. The Ibirubá-RS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ruizubo were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adalmo Baptista stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Doriva Mendonça scored 0-3 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Gabon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edinho Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Léo Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doriva Mendonça blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Gabon having to make a save. Adalmo Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Marcos Gabon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Gabon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adalmo Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Reginaldo Nóbrega took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Marcos Gabon to make any attempt to save it. Tiago do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. If Edinho Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Kléber Coelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Ruizubo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ruizubo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
