Guararapes AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Craque Neto FC the free kick. Guararapes AD's Germano Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fiori Vidal in the 14th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Guararapes AD's zone, Fiori Vidal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Germano Leal came out of the goal and Fiori Vidal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Germano Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aloísio de Toledo in the 19th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Cristiano Arósio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hamílton Catarinense was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Craque Neto FC's Richard Paranaense got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Luiz Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hamílton Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Furtado in the 40th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aloísio de Toledo to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Craque Neto FC booed when Guararapes AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Craque Neto FC's Hamílton Catarinense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Craque Neto FC from getting a goal against them. Aloísio de Toledo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Germano Leal having to make a save. 73 minutes into the game, Craque Neto FC's Richard Paranaense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Germano Leal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When Richard Paranaense came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Craque Neto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Paranaense couldn't finish the play. Richard Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Leal having to interfere. Craque Neto FC's Aloísio de Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Fiori Vidal came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Craque Neto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fiori Vidal couldn't finish the play. Craque Neto FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
