Valério Massa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Valério Massa made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Kléberson de Carvalho sent off a good shot on target. Valério Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Augusto Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kléberson de Carvalho got free with Valério Massa in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jurace's Valério Massa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Jurace from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, SWAT team ʳˢ's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Arce came free, but Jairo Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reginaldo Veiga struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Jairo Velasco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jurace. In the 28th minute of the match Fernão Soares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jairo Velasco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Pedro Augusto Terra came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the SWAT team ʳˢ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Augusto Terra couldn't finish the play. The supporters of SWAT team ʳˢ booed when Jurace was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luiz Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, SWAT team ʳˢ's goal looked a bit too open when Reginaldo Veiga came free, but Jairo Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Kléberson de Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the SWAT team ʳˢ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kléberson de Carvalho couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Pedro Augusto Terra managed to get in a good position for a shot. SWAT team ʳˢ's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Augusto Terra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valério Massa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Pedro Augusto Terra kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Valério Massa. That made the score 2-0 in the 44 minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Augusto Terra to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Pedro Augusto Terra notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Jurace's Valério Massa. Valério Massa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 54th minute, Orlando Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Pedro Augusto Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valério Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléberson de Carvalho in the 63rd minute of the match. The SWAT team ʳˢ fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when SWAT team ʳˢ's Kléberson de Carvalho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 71st minute Reginaldo Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SWAT team ʳˢ's Jairo Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reginaldo Veiga in the 78th minute of play. If Kléberson de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valério Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Augusto Terra in the 84th minute of the match. When Orlando Alves fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SWAT team ʳˢ's protests and gave Orlando Alves a yellow card for diving instead. Pedro Augusto Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valério Massa having to interfere. Valério Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kléberson de Carvalho in the 92nd minute of play.
