An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdir Barros in the 8th minute of play forced Tucunare's goalkeeper José Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Sabino Fantini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abelardo Botelho's late challenge caught a Tucunare's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 23 minutes, Afonsinho Secco made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Tucunare's José Neves tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Afonsinho Secco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. José Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Afonsinho Secco made a kick off. Valdir Barros scored 0-2 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Neves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Afonsinho Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernesto de Sena took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Váldson de Toledo. Váldson de Toledo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Valdir Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Neves made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Valdir Barros sent off a good shot on target. After 78 played minutes Tucunare got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Queirós. The crowd rose to their feet as Emboracica's Valdir Barros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of José Neves. That made the score 1-3 after 81 minutes of play. Valdir Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Neves having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Secco in the 88th minute of play forced Tucunare's goalkeeper José Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Tucunare getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Fabiano Brodel hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the match, Tucunare's goalkeeper José Neves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdir Barros. Emboracica's Afonsinho Secco got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Emboracica left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tucunare.
