Valdir Barros's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Durval Teixeira firmly grabbed it by the left post. Durval Teixeira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonsinho Secco's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Váldson de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 20 played minutes Jacioba got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Aguiar. Afonsinho Secco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Teixeira having to interfere. Durval Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonsinho Secco in the 25th minute of play. Jacioba's José Pedro Palmeira got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valdir Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Durval Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonsinho Secco in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Durval Teixeira saved Jacioba from getting behind. 32 minutes into the match, José Pedro Palmeira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Váldson de Toledo. Emboracica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Pedro Palmeira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Afonsinho Secco was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 35th minute. Emboracica's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 39 played minutes, Jacioba's Willian Mandrak shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Váldson de Toledo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jacioba reached it. Váldson de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Pedro Palmeira was the one to do the kick off. Afonsinho Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Pedro Palmeira in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Váldson de Toledo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 60th minute Valdir Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Pedro Palmeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Váldson de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Afonsinho Secco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Secco in the 65th minute of play forced Jacioba's goalkeeper Durval Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Jacioba getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Willian Netto hit a great ball. If Afonsinho Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Ismael Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiago Mangueira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Váldson de Toledo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. José Pedro Palmeira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Váldson de Toledo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Váldson de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Pedro Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Tiago Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Váldson de Toledo having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Jacioba had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
