Brebe SC's players were relieved. Betão Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harri Hommik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flávio Baptista hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After 10 minutes, Gilmar Romero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capiruapiva and the Brebe SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th minute, Gilmar Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flávio Baptista was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Capiruapiva fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! Ricardinho Travassos hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After having played for 19 minutes, Zézinho Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brebe SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zézinho Oliveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wiliam Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Ortiz in the 21st minute of the match. A hard shot by Ricardinho Travassos from long distance, 24 minutes into the match, got Betão Hoffmann's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Eduardo Araoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Betão Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Adrianinho Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Diego Velloso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brebe SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Capiruapiva's Wiliam Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Ortiz in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Brebe SC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a little luck, Capiruapiva's Wiliam Marquez got control of the ball when Rogério Severo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wiliam Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Ortiz in the 62nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduardo Araoz in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Betão Hoffmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 69thth minute of the game Eduardo Araoz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brebe SC's Betão Hoffmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, Brebe SC's Wiliam Marquez threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Genílson Leal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, Capiruapiva's Wiliam Marquez got control of the ball when Rogério Severo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Brebe SC's David Ortiz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. A collision led to Brebe SC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Clemente Medeiros hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the match, Capiruapiva's goal looked a bit too open when David Ortiz came free, but Wiliam Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Brebe SC defense, Eduardo Araoz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Betão Hoffmann. The Brebe SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Betão Hoffmann should have stopped the shot. Eduardo Araoz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute David Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wiliam Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Capiruapiva's Wiliam Marquez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Capiruapiva from getting a goal against them. The Capiruapiva supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Brebe SC's performance. The match ended with a win for Brebe SC.
