In the 13th minute, Chicago Bulls's Rony Carneiro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rony Carneiro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Chicago Bulls protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rony Carneiro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 12th minute, one of Chicago Bulls:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chicago Bulls. Célio Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Chicago Bulls's Pedro Paulo Rosado ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cleiton Tróia. Cleiton Tróia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. After 28 played minutes Chicago Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Roger Prata. After having played for 29 minutes, Henrique Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crueira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrique Oliveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sydney Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vágner Nogueira in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Chicago Bulls's Pedro Paulo Rosado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cleiton Tróia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Pedro Paulo Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Cleiton Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sydney Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vágner Nogueira in the 40th minute of play. Henrique Oliveira scored 3-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sydney Batista, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Edmílson Braga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Alberto Cardozo got a throw-in 57 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jairo da Fonseca. In the 63rd minute, Célio Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Henrique Oliveira came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Crueira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrique Oliveira couldn't finish the play. Henrique Oliveira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Sydney Batista made a huge save. The supporters of Chicago Bulls booed when Crueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Célio Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Crueira's Amadeu da Cunha got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 86th minute of the match, Armandinho Matorin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sydney Batista saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sydney Batista made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Henrique Oliveira sent off a good shot on target. Chicago Bulls's Sydney Batista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Chicago Bulls from getting a goal against them. After having played for 93 minutes, Henrique Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crueira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrique Oliveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Chicago Bulls's goalkeeper Sydney Batista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henrique Oliveira. When the referee blew the final whistle, Chicago Bulls could leave the field as winners, despite Crueira having more of the ball for most of the match.
