In the 4th minute Emílio Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cristóvão Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emílio Freire in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Denílson Guedes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Catetu's zone, Cristóvão Mota stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denílson Guedes came out of the goal and Cristóvão Mota tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the game, Reinaldo Simão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Restauraco EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catetu the free kick. A collision led to Restauraco EC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Reinaldo Simão hit a great ball. Emílio Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denílson Guedes having to interfere. Denílson Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emílio Freire in the 23rd minute of the match. The supporters of Restauraco EC booed when Catetu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dida Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristóvão Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Denílson Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cristóvão Mota came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Restauraco EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristóvão Mota couldn't finish the play. After 30 minutes of play, Restauraco EC's Emílio Freire made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Denílson Guedes was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Catetu's Aloísio Sarmento got a free kick in the 35th minute. Francisco da Mata, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Emílio Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot. Restauraco EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emílio Freire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denílson Guedes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Restauraco EC fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Restauraco EC's Emílio Freire looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 44 minutes into the game, one of Catetu:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Francisco da Mata shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The Catetu players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Restauraco EC were winning 0-2.
The wind increased when Emílio Freire made the kick off in the second half. Emílio Freire received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Denílson Guedes came out and tried to block the shot, but Emílio Freire slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 53rd minute. 58 minutes in the game, Cristóvão Mota fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Denílson Guedes having to interfere. The supporters of Catetu booed when Restauraco EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Loyola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doriva Ferreira struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Eliseu Simões didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catetu. Cristóvão Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Restauraco EC's Emílio Freire got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Doriva Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reinaldo Simão hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Adhemar Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Eliseu Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Restauraco EC booed when Catetu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Perivaldo Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Doriva Ferreira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eliseu Simões was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Restauraco EC's Cristóvão Mota slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Denílson Guedes. That made the score 0-4 after 97 minutes of play. Restauraco EC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
