After 7 minutes of play, Crueira's Henrique Oliveira made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Denílson Guedes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fred Paraense hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Catetu's goalkeeper Denílson Guedes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henrique Oliveira. In the 23rd minute, Crueira's Henrique Oliveira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Denílson Guedes. Denílson Guedes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Henrique Oliveira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Denílson Guedes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Célio Mota recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henrique Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Denílson Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Catetu's Denílson Guedes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Catetu from getting a goal against them. Denílson Guedes made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Célio Mota sent off a good shot on target. Denílson Guedes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrique Oliveira in the 34th minute. A hard shot 36 in the game by Henrique Oliveira from a close distance when the talented Denílson Guedes managed to make a qualified save. Catetu's players were relieved. Catetu's Denílson Guedes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Catetu from getting a goal against them. When Amadeu da Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Crueira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeu da Cunha couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The wind increased when Adhemar Silveira made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Henrique Oliveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Denílson Guedes was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Catetu's Denílson Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Célio Mota in the 52nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Henrique Oliveira sped through Catetu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Denílson Guedes. 59 minutes into the game, Crueira's Henrique Oliveira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Denílson Guedes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. In the 63rdth minute of the game Henrique Oliveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Catetu's Denílson Guedes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Célio Mota hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Henrique Oliveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Denílson Guedes was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Crueira's Vágner Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tião Ramalho charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tião Ramalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Catetu's Tião Ramalho got a free kick in the 74th minute. Denílson Guedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Denílson Guedes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vágner Nogueira's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henrique Oliveira in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Denílson Guedes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 90th minute, Henrique Oliveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Célio Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crueira's supporters rose to their feet, but Célio Mota was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denílson Guedes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Henrique Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armandinho Matorin during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 96 played minutes Crueira got a freekick which was hit by Armandinho Matorin. When the referee ended the match the Crueira players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
