Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Agnaldo Couto made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute, Sydney Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodriguinho Massa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Agnaldo Couto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dorival Lucas was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. If Agnaldo Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sydney Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Foz Cataratas E.C's protests and gave Sydney Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Chuna booed when Foz Cataratas E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sydney Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodriguinho Massa's late challenge caught a Foz Cataratas E.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodriguinho Massa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th minute, Rodriguinho Massa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sydney Aguiar in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dorival Lucas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 20 played minutes Chuna got a freekick which was hit by Rodriguinho Massa. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Agnaldo Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Foz Cataratas E.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Agnaldo Couto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dorival Lucas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sydney Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Dorival Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvaldo de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Agnaldo Couto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agnaldo Couto in the 34th minute of play forced Chuna's goalkeeper Dorival Lucas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chuna's goalkeeper Dorival Lucas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agnaldo Couto in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dorival Lucas saved Chuna from getting behind. When Sydney Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Foz Cataratas E.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sydney Aguiar couldn't finish the play. After 40 minutes of play, Foz Cataratas E.C's Agnaldo Couto made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dorival Lucas was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Foz Cataratas E.C's zone, Rodriguinho Massa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Catarinense came out of the goal and Rodriguinho Massa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodriguinho Massa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Emanuel Catarinense made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Edvaldo de Souza made the kick off in the second half. Chuna's Agnaldo Maciel suffered a sore thigh after 53 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Foz Cataratas E.C's Agnaldo Couto got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Oséias Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot. Foz Cataratas E.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Oséias Albuquerque was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dorival Lucas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 60 minutes into the game, Agnaldo Couto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Dorival Lucas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Agnaldo Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorival Lucas having to interfere. Oséias Albuquerque's late challenge caught a Chuna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oséias Albuquerque helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd minute Agnaldo Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorival Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chico Cordeiro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 78th minute. Foz Cataratas E.C's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Agnaldo Couto took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Dorival Lucas to make any attempt to save it. After 81 played minutes Foz Cataratas E.C got a freekick which was hit by Sydney Aguiar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Goiano during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Chuna booed when Foz Cataratas E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodriguinho Massa in the 89th minute of play.
