Danilo Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Branco having to interfere. Franklin Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Paulo Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Gino Trigo might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Noel da Silva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gino Trigo ran back to his position shaking his head. 21 minutes into the match, marista's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Paulo Barbosa came free, but Franklin Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, marista's Christiano de Brito got a free kick in the 39th minute. marista's Franklin Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilvan Medeiros in the 40th minute of play. Danilo Cavalcante scored 0-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franklin Branco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Franklin Branco came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Cupyra's Gilvan Medeiros. But to his dismay, Gilvan Medeiros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3.

The wind increased when Gilvan Medeiros made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to marista getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Arlindo Novaes hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Hélder Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. marista's Franklin Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilvan Medeiros in the 74th minute of play. Cupyra's Noel da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Trigo in the 76th minute of play. Cupyra's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The Cupyra players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
