With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clemente Gomes in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antônio Borges saved Arvoredos FC from getting behind. Waldemar Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Antônio Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Desamparada SC's Clemente Gomes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antônio Borges narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 9th minute, Zé Roberto Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute, Desamparada SC's Clemente Gomes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Antônio Borges. Antônio Borges yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Waldemar Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Antônio Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 19th minute by Clemente Gomes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 24th minute, Clemente Gomes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Antônio Borges. The goal made the score 2-0. Elói Ferraz's late challenge caught a Arvoredos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elói Ferraz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Arvoredos FC booed when Desamparada SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elói Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeferson do Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Elder Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeferson do Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute Zé Roberto Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antônio Borges stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clemente Gomes's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Zé Roberto Palmeira hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Waldemar Cavalcante struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Antônio Borges didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Desamparada SC. Waldemar Cavalcante was extremely unlucky when he, in the 41st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Clemente Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Clemente Gomes to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Gomes in the 53rd minute of play forced Arvoredos FC's goalkeeper Antônio Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antônio Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After 60 minutes, Jeferson do Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arvoredos FC and the Desamparada SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Arvoredos FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Jeferson do Nascimento hit a great ball. If Jeferson do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 minutes, Clemente Gomes made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Arvoredos FC's Antônio Borges tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
