Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Osmar Matorin took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Palestra Brasil getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Kaká Batista hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Osmar Matorin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldinho Goiano was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. After 8 played minutes Ruizubo got a freekick which was hit by Giovanni Pinheiro. In the 11th minute Osmar Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldinho Goiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giovanni Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Osvaldinho Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Giovanni Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ruizubo's supporters rose to their feet, but Giovanni Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldinho Goiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ruizubo's Osmar Matorin in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Osvaldinho Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovanni Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 32 played minutes, Palestra Brasil's Pedro Luiz Neves shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tião Batista came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Palestra Brasil reached it. Wilton Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osvaldinho Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osmar Matorin in the 36th minute of play. Giovanni Pinheiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Osvaldinho Goiano having to make a save. Frederico Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Augusto Terra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tião Batista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Palestra Brasil defense, Dadá Barros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Osvaldinho Goiano. The Palestra Brasil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osvaldinho Goiano should have stopped the shot. The Palestra Brasil players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ruizubo were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilton Meira was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Dadá Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ruizubo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dadá Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frederico Fernandez charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frederico Fernandez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ruizubo getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Frederico Fernandez hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilton Meira in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tião Batista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 57 minutes into the match, Palestra Brasil's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Goiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giovanni Pinheiro. Wilton Meira's late challenge caught a Ruizubo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilton Meira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th match minute, Palestra Brasil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilton Meira to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kaká Batista during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
