When Rui Faustino fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beneditinos's protests and gave Rui Faustino a yellow card for diving instead. Rui Faustino hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, Beneditinos's goal looked a bit too open when Marcinho Vianna came free, but Iuri Sá reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcinho Vianna to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertino Saldanha in the 52nd minute of play forced Beneditinos's goalkeeper Iuri Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
