Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maurinho Queiroz to make the kick off. The referee gave Custódio Machado a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bolao FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 79th minute. Penalty! 1-2 came through a penalty shot after 82 played minutes, when Volta EC:s Gonçalo Quirino calmly waited for Bolao FC:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post.
