Irajai SS's Dráuzio Lira got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Dráuzio Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Irajai SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Dráuzio Lira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luizão França breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugênio Paiva got free with Luizão França in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 26 minutes, Eugênio Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Irajai SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugênio Paiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th minute, Dráuzio Lira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dráuzio Lira struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Luizão França didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Irajai SS. Luizão França made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eugênio Paiva in the 35th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dráuzio Lira in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luizão França prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 43 minutes into the match, Matta's goalkeeper Luizão França had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugênio Paiva. 45 minutes into the match, Matta's goal looked a bit too open when Dráuzio Lira came free, but Luizão França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Domeka Aznar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Macedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alan Macedo made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Glauco Cardoso during the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Irajai SS's Vito Teixeira got a free kick in the 69th minute. After 75 minutes, Vito Teixeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Irajai SS and the Matta players grew even worse after the yellow card. Domeka Aznar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Eugênio Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugênio Paiva took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luizão França. Luizão França dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The supporters of Matta booed when Irajai SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Witomir Rakoski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domeka Aznar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruninho Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Irajai SS were the better team. Irajai SS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
