Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cristóvão de Salles kicked off to start the match. When Rubinho Pires came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Guarda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rubinho Pires couldn't finish the play. Marcos Loureiro hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After having played for 19 minutes, Nestor Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guarda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nestor Maia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guarda's José Maria Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos Sena in the 24th minute of play. In the 24th minute Cristóvão de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 25 minutes, Antônio Perez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guarda and the Taquarucu players grew even worse after the yellow card. Antônio Perez kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. José Maria Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão de Salles in the 26th minute of play. If Cristóvão de Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Taquarucu booed when Guarda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Taquarucu's Zé Carlos Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Maria Moura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão de Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Guarda's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão de Salles came free, but José Maria Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Maria Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos Sena in the 40th minute of the match. Nestor Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betão Brito having to interfere. Guarda's José Maria Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão de Salles in the 45th minute of play.

The wind increased when Rubinho Pires made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Cristóvão de Salles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Zé Carlos Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the game, Cristóvão de Salles recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of José Maria Moura. Cristóvão de Salles showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristóvão de Salles in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Maria Moura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Maria Moura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristóvão de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Cristóvão de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taquarucu's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristóvão de Salles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Maria Moura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rubinho Pires in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Betão Brito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zé Carlos Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. José Maria Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Carlos Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but José Maria Moura made a huge save. José Maria Moura was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Cristóvão de Salles capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristóvão de Salles really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. The audience was convinced that Cristóvão de Salles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Maria Moura was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Betão Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubinho Pires in the 91st minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Taquarucu's José Maria Moura threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristóvão de Salles, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Rubinho Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guarda's supporters rose to their feet, but Rubinho Pires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betão Brito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rubinho Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Taquarucu had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
