Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Guto de Godoy got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Maracani FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Paes to maneuver through the defense. Guto de Godoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafinha Amorim having to interfere. After having played for 7 minutes, Guto de Godoy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tayassu EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guto de Godoy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henry Jones came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Maracani FC's Edvaldo Paraense. But to his dismay, Edvaldo Paraense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Danilo Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Guto de Godoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edvaldo Paraense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Henry Jones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danilo Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tayassu EC were furious when Hugo Tepedino was red carded, 33 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave Maracani FC a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by César Pimenta, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tayassu EC's Henry Jones. 0-2. After 40 minutes, Cacá Jacinto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maracani FC and the Tayassu EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cacá Jacinto hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Vito da Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maracani FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After a rather tough play, Maracani FC's Edvaldo Paraense got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half Maracani FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vito da Fonseca to make the kick off. Rafinha Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Danilo Amaral went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vito da Fonseca in the 56th minute of play forced Tayassu EC's goalkeeper Henry Jones to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enio Rosa in the 61st minute of play forced Maracani FC's goalkeeper Rafinha Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maracani FC's Rafinha Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Amaral in the 64th minute of play. Henry Jones made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vito da Fonseca in the 65th minute of play. Henry Jones showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Edvaldo Paraense's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Henry Jones firmly grabbed it by the left post. Tayassu EC's attentive Manoel Meira managed to snatch the ball when Geovanni Salgado made a throw-in in the 74th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vito da Fonseca in the 77th minute of play forced Tayassu EC's goalkeeper Henry Jones to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henry Jones was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edvaldo Paraense showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 79 minute of play. Tayassu EC made a substitution. Orlando Vasconcelos replaced Moisés de Godoy. Tayassu EC's Henry Jones proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Tayassu EC from getting a goal against them. Although Tayassu EC had been in control for most of the match, Maracani FC still came away with the win.
