Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) S.E.Freitanos's Doriva Cosme started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Cafemirim booed when S.E.Freitanos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Corrêa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roberto Souza went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to S.E.Freitanos getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Délio Oliveira hit a great ball. Doriva Cosme's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Betinho Oliveira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cléber Tinoco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roberto Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Corrêa having to interfere. After 21 played minutes S.E.Freitanos got a freekick which was hit by Ulysses do Nascimento. 23 minutes into the game, Ricardinho da Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.E.Freitanos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cafemirim the free kick. Ricardinho da Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Léo Leite's late challenge caught a S.E.Freitanos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Léo Leite helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cafemirim's Léo Leite got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute, Doriva Cosme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alex Corrêa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Souza in the 35th minute of the match. The supporters of Cafemirim booed when S.E.Freitanos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexsandro Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Roberto Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cafemirim's attack was well implemented in the 41st minute, but when Cléber Tinoco was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. 44 minutes into the match, Cafemirim's goal looked a bit too open when Doriva Cosme came free, but Betinho Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roberto Souza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alex Corrêa having to make a save. Roberto Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cléber Tinoco to make the kick off. S.E.Freitanos's Alex Corrêa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save S.E.Freitanos from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doriva Cosme in the 56th minute of play forced Cafemirim's goalkeeper Betinho Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Betinho Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luiz Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The S.E.Freitanos fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when S.E.Freitanos's André Luiz Antunes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cléber Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. When Délio Oliveira fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.E.Freitanos's protests and gave Délio Oliveira a yellow card for diving instead. Roberto Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Alex Corrêa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Cafemirim booed when S.E.Freitanos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Carlos Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Betinho Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doriva Cosme in the 73rd minute of play. In the 79th minute, Cafemirim's Cléber Tinoco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Betinho Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Luiz Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cléber Tinoco came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Cafemirim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cléber Tinoco couldn't finish the play. If Roberto Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Corrêa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléber Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute.
