The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Frederico Martins in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alex Corrêa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 16th minute, S.E.Freitanos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Frederico Martins fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 17 minutes into the match, S.E.Freitanos's goal looked a bit too open when Fellipe Massa came free, but Alex Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frederico Martins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Alex Corrêa made a huge save. Fellipe Massa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Alexsandro Brito fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.E.Freitanos's protests and gave Alexsandro Brito a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Muricizal EC booed when S.E.Freitanos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexsandro Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Muricizal EC's Frederico Martins managed to work through S.E.Freitanos's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Frederico Martins dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Alex Corrêa made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Frederico Martins sent off a good shot on target. Alex Corrêa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frederico Martins went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Frederico Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frederico Martinss short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Alex Corrêa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Muricizal EC's Frederico Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alex Corrêa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fellipe Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Frederico Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muricizal EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Frederico Martins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Corrêa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fellipe Massa was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of S.E.Freitanos booed when Muricizal EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adilson de Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, S.E.Freitanos's goal looked a bit too open when Fellipe Massa came free, but Alex Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. S.E.Freitanos's Alex Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Martins in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Gonçalo Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Muricizal EC's Mazinho Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doriva Cosme in the 62nd minute of play. Alex Corrêa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fellipe Massa went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. S.E.Freitanos's Alex Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fellipe Massa in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Muricizal EC booed when S.E.Freitanos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexsandro Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wesley Aguiar shot a long shot in the 74th minute and a light blocked Alex Corrêa hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in S.E.Freitanos's zone, Fellipe Massa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Corrêa came out of the goal and Fellipe Massa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frederico Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Corrêa having to interfere. Alex Corrêa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fellipe Massa's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. S.E.Freitanos's Alex Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fellipe Massa in the 88th minute of play. Frederico Martins might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alex Corrêa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frederico Martins ran back to his position shaking his head. If Fellipe Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fellipe Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Corrêa having to interfere. Muricizal EC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
