The referee ignored Toca's protests and gave Pedro Luiz Motta a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes Toca got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luiz Motta. Toca's Conrado Godoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléber Tinoco in the 31st minute of play. Betinho Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fábio Falcão in the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Luiz Fábio Falcão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Toca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 46 minutes into the game, Nilmar Silveira threw the ball into play from the sideline. The supporters of Cafemirim booed when Toca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edu de Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cafemirim's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
