Adrian Izvoranu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Cambaratiba AD's Adrian Izvoranu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Cambaratiba AD from getting a goal against them. Reinaldo de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Leandro Proença left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Antimari fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Albertino Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Claudinei Marquez sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Adrian Izvoranu threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Claudinei Marquez this time. Adrian Izvoranu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisinho Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adrian Izvoranu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leandro Proença in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisinho Rosado in the 34th minute of play forced Cambaratiba AD's goalkeeper Adrian Izvoranu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Reinaldo de Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Cambaratiba AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinaldo de Queirós couldn't finish the play. Leandro Proença came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Adrian Izvoranu could save by the left post. Adrian Izvoranu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisinho Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaká Meirelles in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nildo Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Antimari's Nildo Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo de Queirós in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th minute Reinaldo de Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nildo Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luisinho Rosado made a kick off. When Luisinho Rosado came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Antimari fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisinho Rosado couldn't finish the play. 53 minutes into the game, Kaká Meirelles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nildo Castro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Reinaldo de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nildo Castro having to interfere. The supporters of Cambaratiba AD booed when Antimari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráuzio Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luisinho Rosado took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adrian Izvoranu. Adrian Izvoranu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Luisinho Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Antimari's supporters rose to their feet, but Luisinho Rosado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Izvoranu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cambaratiba AD's Reinaldo de Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antimari's Nildo Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Antimari from getting a goal against them. Leandro Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute Leandro Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Izvoranu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nildo Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo de Queirós in the 85th minute of the match. Kaká Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nildo Castro having to interfere. After some careless play in the Cambaratiba AD defense, Leandro Proença kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrian Izvoranu. The Cambaratiba AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrian Izvoranu should have stopped the shot. Antimari were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cambaratiba AD for a fine match.
