After a rather tough play, Atlético Catarinense's Aníbal França got a free kick in the 6th minute. Atlético Catarinense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.R FLAMENNGO the free kick. Osvaldinho Ribeiro placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The supporters of Atlético Catarinense booed when C.R FLAMENNGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlético Catarinense's Alfredinho Toscano couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for C.R FLAMENNGO. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matheus Duarte in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geovani Carioca saved C.R FLAMENNGO from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Matheus Duarte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geovani Carioca was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Matheus Duarte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geovani Carioca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Enrique Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zézinho Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matheus Duarte made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Matheus Duarte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geovani Carioca was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Atlético Catarinense's Enrique Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Alves in the 62nd minute of play. Matheus Duarte who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Geovani Carioca when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Geovani Carioca was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Matheus Duarte capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Matheus Duarte really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 79 minutes into the match, C.R FLAMENNGO's goalkeeper Geovani Carioca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matheus Duarte. Matheus Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovani Carioca having to interfere. In the 84th minute Matheus Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovani Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeca de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Abreu having to interfere. The Atlético Catarinense players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented C.R FLAMENNGO from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
