Dedê Arósio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Guilherme Faria's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Natã Barros skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Natã Barros was a little too slow when Cipriano Nascimento got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 33rd minute, Cesinha Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, Flavinho Meira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dedê Arósio. Maloca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Flavinho Meira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. A collision led to Felipe getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Elder Miranda hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cipriano Nascimento was the one to do the kick off. Cipriano Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natã Barros having to interfere. Felipe's Hamílton Carvalho got his second yellow card of the match in the 54th minute. The referee ordered Hamílton Carvalho off the ground. After a rather tough play, Felipe's Hamílton Carvalho got a free kick in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Cipriano Nascimento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Natã Barros. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Felipe defense, Cipriano Nascimento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Natã Barros. The Felipe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Natã Barros should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Felipe's zone, Guilherme Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natã Barros came out of the goal and Guilherme Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cipriano Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Maloca fans cheered their team off the field, for while Felipe had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
