Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mané Prestes started the match with the kick off. Oswaldo Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Augusto Aparecido having to interfere. Rodriguinho Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Zé Augusto Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Augusto Aparecido stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Eduardo Rosa's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Favela Futebol Clube's Zé Augusto Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Eduardo Rosa in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Eduardo Rosa in the 11th minute of play forced Favela Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Aparecido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Angelo Arantes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Favela Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ceara the free kick. In the 12th match minute, Favela Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Arantes to maneuver through the defense. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Favela Futebol Clube's goalie and right to Osvaldinho Pires. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Favela Futebol Clube's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Mané Prestes hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Zé Augusto Aparecido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodriguinho Favoretto in the 21st minute of the match. Angelo Arantes hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Didi Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ademar Machado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Didi Corrêa in the 26th minute. When Dráuzio Maia fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ceara's protests and gave Dráuzio Maia a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ceara fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! In the 30th minute there was a penalty for Favela Futebol Clube. Dé Leme stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ademar Machado. 1-0. When Ceara's Rodriguinho Favoretto in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Favela Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Favela Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Aparecido, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zé Augusto Aparecido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Rodriguinho Favoretto took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Augusto Aparecido. Zé Augusto Aparecido dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Eduardo Rosa to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodriguinho Favoretto in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Augusto Aparecido saved Favela Futebol Clube from getting behind. When Rodriguinho Favoretto came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Ceara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodriguinho Favoretto couldn't finish the play. Ceara's Ademar Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didi Corrêa in the 55th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodriguinho Favoretto got free with Zé Augusto Aparecido in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Favela Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Angelo Arantes hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Favela Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Eduardo Rosa came free, but Zé Augusto Aparecido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonel Pombal's late challenge caught a Ceara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Pombal helped the player get up and apologised. 1-2 became the score in the 67th minute when Rodriguinho Favoretto elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Leonel Pombal hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Favela Futebol Clube's Zé Augusto Aparecido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Favela Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Favela Futebol Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Rodriguinho Favoretto scored to the left of an out of position Zé Augusto Aparecido, making the score, 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodriguinho Favoretto got free with Zé Augusto Aparecido in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rodriguinho Favoretto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Zé Augusto Aparecido firmly grabbed it by the left post. Zé Augusto Aparecido made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Rodriguinho Favoretto sent off a good shot on target. Ademar Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodriguinho Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Augusto Aparecido having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Ceara's Oswaldo Brasil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Augusto Aparecido narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 92 minutes into the match, Rodriguinho Favoretto notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Favela Futebol Clube's Zé Augusto Aparecido. Zé Augusto Aparecido was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Didi Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ademar Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Favela Futebol Clube supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ceara's performance. The match ended with a win for Ceara.
