Angelo Rosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luizinho Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademar Machado having to interfere. Didi de Queirós hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Carlos Eduardo Rosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th match minute, Ceara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswaldo Brasil to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ceara fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! Walmyr Abreu placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! If Rodriguinho Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Noel Favoretto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodriguinho Favoretto, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Narrabeen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Brasil came free, but Noel Favoretto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Rodriguinho Favoretto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Noel Favoretto. Narrabeen FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodriguinho Favoretto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 36 minutes into the game, when Luizinho Vale put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Ceara booed when Narrabeen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizinho Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edu da Mata struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Noel Favoretto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ceara. Rodriguinho Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Noel Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Rosa hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After 42 minutes, Arí Dante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Narrabeen FC and the Ceara players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Narrabeen FC's Arí Dante got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Noel Favoretto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodriguinho Favoretto in the 43rd minute of the match. Oswaldo Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Noel Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arí Dante to make the kick off. Narrabeen FC's Noel Favoretto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Narrabeen FC from getting a goal against them. Noel Favoretto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Norberto Mota in the 55th minute. After some careless play in the Narrabeen FC defense, Rodriguinho Favoretto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Noel Favoretto. The Narrabeen FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Noel Favoretto should have stopped the shot. Osvaldinho Pires hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Rodriguinho Favoretto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Norberto Mota might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Noel Favoretto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Norberto Mota ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 82nd minute, Rodriguinho Favoretto made a precise shot to the right of Noel Favoretto. Narrabeen FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. If Rodriguinho Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narrabeen FC's Noel Favoretto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto Mota in the 89th minute of play. Oswaldo Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Favoretto having to interfere. When Rodriguinho Favoretto came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Ceara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodriguinho Favoretto couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded Ceara left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Narrabeen FC.
