Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Luciano Eger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Paulo Messias's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Paulo Messias got free with Luciano Eger in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Paulo Messias in the 22nd minute of play forced Racing Cristal's goalkeeper Luciano Eger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Sandro Linhares reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luciano Eger. The goal made the score 1-0. Durvalino Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarcisio Loureiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Maxixe SC defense, William Furlan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Durvalino Quadros. The Maxixe SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Durvalino Quadros should have stopped the shot. Sandro Linhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute, Sandro Linhares fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Luís Paulo Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Luciano Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Luís Paulo Messias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Racing Cristal's Jerônimo Vidal got a free kick in the 46th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Gláuber Eger hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 54 minutes, Luís Gustavo Lucas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maxixe SC and the Racing Cristal players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Racing Cristal booed when Maxixe SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Gustavo Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luís Paulo Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Durvalino Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hudson de Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 65th minute, Hudson de Carvalho fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Alfredo Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Eger having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Luís Paulo Messias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luciano Eger was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 77thth minute of the game Luís Paulo Messias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Cristal's Luciano Eger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 79 played minutes Racing Cristal got a freekick which was hit by Tarcisio Loureiro. The supporters of Racing Cristal booed when Maxixe SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Linhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Hudson de Carvalho took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Durvalino Quadros to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Cristal's zone, Luís Paulo Messias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Eger came out of the goal and Luís Paulo Messias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maxixe SC's Durvalino Quadros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Maxixe SC from getting a goal against them.
