Campimho's Mané Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdir Paiva in the 8th minute of play. Mané Garcia stood somewhat misplaced when Valdir Paiva came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 11 minute. Concetto Mazzocchetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Taititu's Eriberto Toscano got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Taititu's Aluísio de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benê Guedes in the 19th minute of play. If Concetto Mazzocchetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Campimho getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Caetano Cardoso hit a great ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Valdir Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taititu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdir Paiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valdir Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Garcia having to interfere. Osvaldo Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eriberto Toscano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mané Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Eriberto Toscano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Benê Guedes made the kick off in the second half. Concetto Mazzocchetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Garcia having to interfere. Taititu walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
