Arcadas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Danilo Paulista ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Danilo Paulista got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Geovani Quadros quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. José Carlos Magalhães might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geovani Quadros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Carlos Magalhães ran back to his position shaking his head. After 10 minutes, Cícero Nogueira made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Rota 262 CF's Paulo Dantas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Arcadas's zone, João Valladares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovani Quadros came out of the goal and João Valladares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Valladares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Geovani Quadros made a huge save. Paulo Dantas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cícero Nogueira's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Valladares during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rota 262 CF's João Valladares got a free kick in the 19th minute. Felipe Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Paulo Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rota 262 CF's João Valladares got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Valladaress short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Geovani Quadros to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Danilo Paulista took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Geovani Quadros. Arcadas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cícero Nogueira to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Rota 262 CF booed when Arcadas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juninho da Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. If João Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 55th match minute, Arcadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitinho Breckenfeld to maneuver through the defense. José Carlos Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Carlinhos Dracena fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. José Carlos Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovani Quadros having to interfere. When José Carlos Magalhães came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Rota 262 CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Carlos Magalhães couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, José Carlos Magalhães got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arcadas succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Rota 262 CF had controlled the match.
