Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Perivaldo Meira started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Perivaldo Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdemar Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 5 minutes, Silvério da Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manacanau EC and the Palestrinos F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 5 played minutes Manacanau EC got a freekick which was hit by Silvério da Costa. In the 7th match minute, Manacanau EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yuri Baptista to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Manacanau EC's zone, Váldson Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrique Mumbach came out of the goal and Váldson Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ediberto Ramos hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Valdemar Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perivaldo Meira in the 26th minute of the match. Henrique Mumbach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. With a little luck, Manacanau EC's Henrique Mumbach got control of the ball when Walmyr Moraes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valdemar Costa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amílton Paiva went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Amílton Paiva might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valdemar Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amílton Paiva ran back to his position shaking his head. If Perivaldo Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Váldson Ferreira made a kick off. After having played for 56 minutes, Perivaldo Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manacanau EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perivaldo Meira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Perivaldo Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Valdemar Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th match minute, Palestrinos F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fábio Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. Valdemar Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Perivaldo Meira's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Manacanau EC's Amílton Paiva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdemar Costa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 76th minute, Cássio Marquez had to leave the field with a concussion. Perivaldo Meira charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Perivaldo Meira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th minute, Perivaldo Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amílton Paiva got free with Valdemar Costa in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Henrique Mumbach came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Palestrinos F.C's Walmyr Moraes. But to his dismay, Walmyr Moraes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Manacanau EC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
