Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Váldson Ferreira took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 4 minutes of play, Ibipetum's Tony Paulista made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdemar Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Palestrinos F.C booed when Ibipetum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hortêncio Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdemar Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Pimenta in the 8th minute of play. Hortêncio Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Valdemar Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Váldson Ferreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emílio de Senna was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When Walmir Arce fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibipetum's protests and gave Walmir Arce a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ibipetum's Walmir Arce got a free kick in the 16th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Hortêncio Pimenta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Valdemar Costa. Hortêncio Pimenta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Tony Paulista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Valdemar Costa made a huge save. Hélder de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Hortêncio Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Valdemar Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hortêncio Pimenta was the one to do the kick off. 57 minutes into the game, Váldson Ferreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palestrinos F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ibipetum the free kick. A collision led to Palestrinos F.C getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Váldson Ferreira hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Pimenta in the 60th minute of play forced Palestrinos F.C's goalkeeper Valdemar Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ibipetum's Emílio de Senna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Ibipetum from getting a goal against them. Tony Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Valdemar Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tony Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Fábio Schmidt's late challenge caught a Ibipetum's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Fábio Schmidt helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ibipetum booed when Palestrinos F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tony Paulista ran back to his position shaking his head. Walmyr Moraes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 77th playminute. Walmyr Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio de Senna having to interfere. Tony Paulista struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Valdemar Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibipetum. The audience was convinced that Tony Paulista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valdemar Costa was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Hortêncio Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar Costa having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Ibipetum failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
