Ian Rezende recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amílton Falcão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredinho Carneiro's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Venturosa's Tiago Maranhense got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. RAPOSÃO's Amílton Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredinho Carneiro in the 14th minute of play. Alfredinho Carneiro charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredinho Carneiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Venturosa getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Alfredinho Carneiro hit a great ball. Luís Paulo Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Ian Rezende might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Paulo Nogueira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ian Rezende ran back to his position shaking his head. 22 minutes into the match, Venturosa's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Rezende came free, but Luís Paulo Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of RAPOSÃO booed when Venturosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugênio Coelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charles Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugênio Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When Charles Perez came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the RAPOSÃO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles Perez couldn't finish the play. Ian Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Luís Paulo Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Charles Perez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Venturosa's zone, Ian Rezende stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Paulo Nogueira came out of the goal and Ian Rezende tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Venturosa's Samuel Mesquita got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venturosa's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcelinho Brito was slow to take the kick. During this time RAPOSÃO's players had a chance to rest. RAPOSÃO's Marcelinho Brito was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luís Paulo Nogueira in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Luís Paulo Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ian Rezende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Charles Perez to make the kick off. Amílton Falcão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Maranhense in the 56th minute of the match. After some careless play in the RAPOSÃO defense, Tiago Maranhense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amílton Falcão. The RAPOSÃO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amílton Falcão should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Alfredinho Carneiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amílton Falcão was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Amílton Falcão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Maranhense in the 71st minute of the match. Tiago Maranhense struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Amílton Falcão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venturosa. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiago Maranhense in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amílton Falcão saved RAPOSÃO from getting behind. Ian Rezende could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Luís Paulo Nogueira made a huge save. The supporters of RAPOSÃO booed when Venturosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgílio Valladares didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Venturosa's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Perez came free, but Luís Paulo Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alfredinho Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. RAPOSÃO's Amílton Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugênio Coelho in the 96th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
