Américo do Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Biquinhas getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Anselmo Peres hit a great ball. Délio Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caetano Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio Vianna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Biquinhas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Mamoeiro a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Manuel Rosa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Biquinhas's Caetano Esteves. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Délio Vianna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mamoeiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Délio Vianna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caetano Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 48th minute of the game. One of Mamoeiro:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Biquinhas:s goal.

The wind increased when Délio Vianna made the kick off in the second half. Doriva Vinhas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Délio Vianna in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caetano Esteves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Oliveira in the 73rd minute of play forced Mamoeiro's goalkeeper Doriva Vinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mamoeiro's Belchior Prata got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mamoeiro were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Biquinhas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Manuel Rosa took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Manuel Rosa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Caetano Esteves quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Américo do Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Biquinhas's Caetano Esteves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Biquinhas from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd match minute, Biquinhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romário Viana to maneuver through the defense. If Délio Vianna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caetano Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Délio Vianna, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The audience was convinced that Nelson Oliveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Doriva Vinhas was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
