The wind increased when Silvinho Faria made the kick off in the second half. Amauri Meira scored 1-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christian do Nascimento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Sadio's zone, Thomás Vieira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian do Nascimento came out of the goal and Thomás Vieira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christian do Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Amauri Meira sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvinho Faria in the 62nd minute of play forced Jerumenha's goalkeeper Hélder Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Thomás Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 93 minutes, Thomás Vieira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jerumenha and the Sadio players grew even worse after the yellow card.
