Severino Souto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio de Carvalho in the 3rd minute of the match. Arnaldo Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Severino Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cássio de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severino Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio de Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 21st minute Cássio de Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnaldo Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Paulo Barreto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdomiro Valladares's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Cássio de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cássio de Carvalho took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Severino Souto. Severino Souto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Rubinho Félix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Cianita's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio de Carvalho came free, but Severino Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Valdomiro Valladares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cianita's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdomiro Valladares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Paulo Barreto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Cianita players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cayua EC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdomiro Valladares to make the kick off. Cássio de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Severino Souto didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Cayua EC's Arnaldo Lara shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. After 58 played minutes Arnaldo Lara rounded Cianita's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. With a little luck, Cianita's Severino Souto got control of the ball when Cássio de Carvalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Arnaldo Lara dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Severino Souto, 0-4. In the 67th minute, Cássio de Carvalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Severino Souto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Severino Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Lara in the 76th minute of play. After having played for 77 minutes, Cássio de Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cayua EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cássio de Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cássio de Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Souto having to interfere. Cássio de Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Severino Souto made a huge save. When Arnaldo Lara came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Cayua EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo Lara couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Cianita getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Renato Queirós hit a great ball. If Dráuzio Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cayua EC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
