Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ernesto Paraibano started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Ibiranhem's Ernesto Paraibano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richard Tavares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Joélson Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernani Netto in the 11th minute of play. Faustão Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Ernani Netto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joélson Godoi was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. In the 16th minute, Tiago Saraiva had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Fabiano Porto fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itamonte AD's protests and gave Fabiano Porto a yellow card for diving instead. Itamonte AD:s Richard Tavares showed great skill when he stopped Sílvio da Costa:s penalty. Joélson Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernani Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Paraibano in the 27th minute of play forced Itamonte AD's goalkeeper Richard Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernesto Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Richard Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When William Veiga fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibiranhem's protests and gave William Veiga a yellow card for diving instead. Ernesto Arce hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Faustão Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Godoi having to interfere. After the first half Ibiranhem were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Faustão Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernesto Arce hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faustão Galvão in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joélson Godoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ernani Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joélson Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernani Netto in the 68th minute of the match. Ernesto Paraibano's late challenge caught a Itamonte AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernesto Paraibano helped the player get up and apologised. After 70 played minutes Ibiranhem got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Paraibano. When William Veiga came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Ibiranhem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Veiga couldn't finish the play. If Ernesto Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ibiranhem getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Ernesto Arce hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the match, Ibiranhem's goal looked a bit too open when Faustão Galvão came free, but Joélson Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Arce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 93 minutes, Ernani Netto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itamonte AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernani Netto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ernani Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Godoi having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ibiranhem eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
