Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ernesto Paraibano started the match with the kick off. Joélson Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alessandro Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Godoi having to interfere. Alessandro Moura's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joélson Godoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernesto Paraibano in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Magno Quadros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd match minute, Ibiranhem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Veiga to maneuver through the defense. Nobres's Hamílton Magalhães couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ibiranhem. Alessandro Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Joélson Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alessandro Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ibiranhem's Joélson Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvinho Araújo in the 34th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ibiranhem's William Veiga got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvinho Araújo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alessandro Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54th minute, Anísio Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute of the match Nobres got a corner. Ibiranhem's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hamílton Magalhães ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ibiranhem! Alessandro Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sílvio da Costa hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute Silvinho Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joélson Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ibiranhem getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Ernesto Arce hit a great ball. After having played for 71 minutes, Alessandro Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nobres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alessandro Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joélson Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvinho Araújo in the 76th minute of play. If Silvinho Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibiranhem's goalkeeper Joélson Godoi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Teodoro Guedes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alessandro Moura blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joélson Godoi having to make a save. In the 94th minute Silvinho Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joélson Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ibiranhem's Sílvio da Costa got a free kick in the 97th minute. Joélson Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvinho Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Nobres eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
