Iutica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateus Sabóia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomás Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelinho Quadros in the 14th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Marquinhos Hames managed to get in a good position for a shot. Porre's supporters rose to their feet, but Marquinhos Hames was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th minute, Marquinhos Hames got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Murillo das Neves fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iutica's protests and gave Murillo das Neves a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes Iutica got a freekick which was hit by Murillo das Neves. In the 26th minute Marquinhos Hames shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iutica's Tomás Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelinho Quadros in the 32nd minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcelinho Quadros to make the kick off. Marcelinho Quadros had several of the Iutica's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 57 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Tomás Proença as he didn't even see the shot coming. Mateus Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Armando Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Iutica booed when Porre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovanni de Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball.
