Sallesopolis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rio Branco S. C the free kick. In the 2nd match minute, Sallesopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by César Passos to maneuver through the defense. Simão Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Wilian Secco made a precise shot to the right of Naldo Soeiro. Sallesopolis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 13 minutes into the match, Sallesopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Wilian Secco came free, but Naldo Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Rio Branco S. C's Ronaldinho Leite got control of the ball when César Passos tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Claudinho Romero fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rio Branco S. C's protests and gave Claudinho Romero a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Rio Branco S. C's Claudinho Romero got a free kick in the 17th minute. Tarcisio Negri had several of the Rio Branco S. C's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 18 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Ronaldinho Leite as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natanael Sá in the 24th minute of play forced Sallesopolis's goalkeeper Naldo Soeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tarcisio Negri's late challenge caught a Rio Branco S. C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tarcisio Negri helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sallesopolis getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Tarcisio Negri hit a great ball. Naldo Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 35 minutes into the game, Wilian Secco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Naldo Soeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ronaldinho Leite was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and César Passos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. César Passos really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Gualter Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th match minute, Sallesopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão Leão to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, Sallesopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Gualter Carneiro came free, but Naldo Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gualter Carneiro to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Tarcisio Negri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronaldinho Leite was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Rio Branco S. C's zone, Tarcisio Negri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldinho Leite came out of the goal and Tarcisio Negri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulão Prata kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Sallesopolis's Naldo Guedes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Rio Branco S. C's Claudinho Romero got his second yellow card of the match in the 70th minute. The referee ordered Claudinho Romero off the ground. A collision led to Rio Branco S. C getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Claudinho Romero hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Tarcisio Negri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronaldinho Leite was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Rio Branco S. C's Ronaldinho Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Leão in the 78th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sallesopolis's zone, Wilian Secco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Naldo Soeiro came out of the goal and Wilian Secco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the match, Rio Branco S. C's goal looked a bit too open when Tarcisio Negri came free, but Ronaldinho Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tarcisio Negri in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronaldinho Leite prevented the ball from getting in the gole. César Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ronaldinho Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tarcisio Negri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Leite having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
