Juvenal Medeiros started the match with the kick off. Dionísio Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Villa Sinistra Futebolist getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Arí Maia hit a great ball. Hermínio Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juvenal Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. When Dionísio Castro came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Brusque SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dionísio Castro couldn't finish the play. If Juvenal Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Villa Sinistra Futebolist's Aníbal Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Porto in the 42nd minute of play. Aníbal Tasso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dionísio Castro in the 44th minute. Didi Guedes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evandro Porto made a kick off. Hermínio Proença didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 52nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. In the 60th minute Dionísio Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aníbal Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luisão Romero during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rd minute, Luisão Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Evandro Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 minutes, Dionísio Castro made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Villa Sinistra Futebolist's Aníbal Tasso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dionísio Castro struck a weak shot in the 74th minute.
