The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tarcisio Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Aníbal Tasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Tarcisio Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sallesopolis's supporters rose to their feet, but Tarcisio Negri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aníbal Tasso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th minute, Didi Guedes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Juvenal Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Ceresso was extremely unlucky when he, in the 18th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Aníbal Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarcisio Negri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aníbal Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Passos, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 25th match minute, Sallesopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vânderson Cavalcante to maneuver through the defense. Joaquim Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juvenal Medeiros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Naldo Soeiro having to make a save. With a little luck, Sallesopolis's Naldo Soeiro got control of the ball when Joaquim Ceresso tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute Juvenal Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Joaquim Ceresso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Villa Sinistra Futebolist fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 44 played minutes Villa Sinistra Futebolist got a freekick which was hit by Murillo Schmidt. After 46 minutes, Luisão Romero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villa Sinistra Futebolist and the Sallesopolis players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of Villa Sinistra Futebolist:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sallesopolis:s goal. Aníbal Tasso had in the 48thth minute some difficulties stopping Naldo Guedes's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.

After a rather tough play, Villa Sinistra Futebolist's Didi Guedes got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 62nd minute Juvenal Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If César Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juvenal Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Murillo Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the game, Villa Sinistra Futebolist's Juvenal Medeiros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Naldo Soeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Joaquim Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Naldo Soeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Didi Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. César Passos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Joaquim Ceresso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There was no doubt that Villa Sinistra Futebolist were the better team. Villa Sinistra Futebolist's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
