Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute Evandro Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldinho Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Wilian Secco came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Rio Branco S. C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilian Secco couldn't finish the play. Wilian Secco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Hermínio Proença skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 13 minutes into the match, Rio Branco S. C's Wilian Secco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hermínio Proença narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hermínio Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualter Carneiro in the 21st minute of play. Dionísio Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronaldinho Leite stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evandro Porto's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After 28 minutes, Natanael Sá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rio Branco S. C and the Brusque SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Evandro Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldinho Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionísio Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Rio Branco S. C's Natanael Sá got a free kick in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionísio Castro in the 39th minute of play forced Rio Branco S. C's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudinho Romero's late challenge caught a Brusque SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudinho Romero helped the player get up and apologised. Claudinho Romero hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute of the match Antônio Carlos Goiano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronaldinho Leite showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 43rd minute Dionísio Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldinho Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Claudinho Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gualter Carneiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Evandro Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brusque SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Evandro Porto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldinho Leite breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 55 minutes, Gualter Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rio Branco S. C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gualter Carneiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Rio Branco S. C's zone, Evandro Porto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldinho Leite came out of the goal and Evandro Porto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ronaldinho Leite made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Dionísio Castro sent off a good shot on target. Hermínio Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualter Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermínio Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilian Secco in the 69th minute of the match. Wilian Secco struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Hermínio Proença didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rio Branco S. C. 73 minutes into the match, Brusque SS's goal looked a bit too open when Gualter Carneiro came free, but Hermínio Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Dionísio Castro came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Brusque SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dionísio Castro couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dionísio Castro got free with Ronaldinho Leite in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dionísio Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Leite having to interfere. Rio Branco S. C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Evandro Porto scored to the left of an out of position Ronaldinho Leite, making the score, 1-1. In the 94th minute, Claudinho Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th play minute Dionísio Castro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ronaldinho Leite. 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Brusque SS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
