After a defensive mix-up in ERC Catedral Três Lagoas's zone, Valdir Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flávio Sena came out of the goal and Valdir Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gil Paraibano in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flávio Sena saved ERC Catedral Três Lagoas from getting behind. 29 minutes into the match, ERC Catedral Três Lagoas's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Paraibano came free, but Flávio Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Paraibano in the 35th minute of play forced ERC Catedral Três Lagoas's goalkeeper Flávio Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conrado de Mendonça hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Flávio Sena was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gil Paraibano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 76 minute of play. Moisés Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Cícero Linares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ERC Catedral Três Lagoas. Cícero Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. The ERC Catedral Três Lagoas supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Papacudacabeçaroxa F.C's performance.
