Marcel de Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute of the match, Marcus Soares tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Juarês Dantas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Doni Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel de Mendonça having to interfere. Wilson Godoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Juarês Dantas made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Fúria Andreense F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diamantino Medeiros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0.
