Giovani Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Araújo having to interfere. Giovani Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Abelardo Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Kiko Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arasselva EC's Cristiano Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Giovani Viana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sabino Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Jarbas de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinei Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudinei Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Jarbas de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Arasselva EC's Jarbas de Mendonça got control of the ball when Sabino Valadares tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Arasselva EC's Cristiano Antunes in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UBER-CE's goalie prevented a goal. In the 41st minute, Cristiano Antunes made a precise shot to the right of Abelardo Araújo. UBER-CE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Abelardo Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Viana in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

In the 54th minute, Giovani Viana reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Abelardo Araújo. The goal made the score 3-2. Cristiano Antunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Abelardo Araújo made a huge save. After some careless play in the Arasselva EC defense, Claudinei Pinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jarbas de Mendonça. The Arasselva EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jarbas de Mendonça should have stopped the shot. 71 minutes into the match, Giovani Viana dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Abelardo Araújo, 4-3. Abelardo Araújo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giovani Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Abelardo Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Viana in the 79th minute of play. After 80 minutes of play, Arasselva EC's Cristiano Antunes made it 4-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abelardo Araújo was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovani Viana in the 84th minute of play forced UBER-CE's goalkeeper Abelardo Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. UBER-CE's Abelardo Araújo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save UBER-CE from getting a goal against them. Telmo Magalhães's late challenge caught a UBER-CE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Telmo Magalhães helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th match minute, Arasselva EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telmo Magalhães to maneuver through the defense.
